Last week Meleka was invited down to Deja Vu’s monthly event ‘We Play Live Music Event’ to perform some of her new material. HAving had a full MAC Makeover and dressed to kill Meleka brought the house down with song’s Mr Apple Tree, Penny and her latest single ‘Love You Baby’ out in three weeks on the 3rd June.

In the run up to the release of ‘Love You Baby’ on 3rd June Meleka has been very busy, and that wasn’t any different this bank holiday weekend. On Saturday Meleka headed down to the Whoa FM radio station to let the listeners and radio presenter Special K know exactly what she had been up to lately.

On Sunday Meleka, along with ADot, Kof , English and more performed at DejaVu’s We Play Music Live Event at Queen of Hoxton.

Meleka WOWED the crowd with not only her flawless make-up, provided by MAC Cosmetics store in spitalfeilds, and her eye popping River Island dress but her performance

Meleka performed 3 Songs including new single ‘Love You Baby’ which is released 3rd June 2012.

We are happy to announce that Meleka now receives product support from M·A·C Cosmetics for her upcoming tours and appearances.

Having always used MAC products this is a great collaboration. Upon confirming the partnership Meleka said

Meleka went down to Radio 1Xtra recently to talk to the lovely Ace & Vis about what she had been up to lately.

Every week they host a radio Sunday dinner and their guests have to bring something yummy in. Guests on the day were BBK’s Jammer, Meleka and even Sway popped in too.

Jammer brought the main and Meleka brought the dessert… she also tweeted ‘I had been up since 8.30am baking this cake!’

Meleka and Incisive have worked together a few times most famously on ‘No One Wants to Be Alone’ taken from Incisive’s ‘Him & Her Valentines EP’. But he recently asked Meleka to make a cameo appearance in the video for his latest single In-Ci-Sive.

Towards the end of 2011 Meleka was very busy working on not only her own musc but managed to squeeze in a few features as well. Not only did she hook up with Mr Harry Shotta for the summer hit ‘Xtravagance’ she also teamed up with Tor Casey for the uplifting track ‘Give It Time.’

As well as being a successful artist herself Meleka is signed to District 6 Publishing so often writes for and with other artists. Out ‘n’ About – Nabila Memorial

To mark the untimely passing of Nabila Nanfuka, Meleka was asked by the Nsimbe family to perform this evening at a very special event.

On the 19th October 2011 Nabila tragically lost her life whilst out with friends at a club in Northampton. Aged just 22 she she is now now longer with us and in celbration of her life, her younger brother Fahad has arranged a memorial service and asked Meleka to sing.

Our thoughts go out to the family at such a difficult time and want to thank the Nsimbe/Nanfuka family for asking Meleka to take part in such a precious celebration.

Rest in Peace Nabila.
